Israel is fighting wars on three fronts right now. I’m not including the diplomatic front, or the Iranian nuclear front, or the Yemenite lunatic front. I’m talking about actual bordering areas. Because these are the ones that require immediate amelioration.
Yes, we need to destroy the Iranian nuclear facilities, and yes, we need to turn Houthi Yemen into a wasteland. There’s no question about that. But those aren’t parts of the Land of Israel, and the Land of Israel needs to be our first priority.
Gaza
I’ve been rather impatiently waiting for my fellow Zionists to come to grips with the fact — yes, fact — that this is not a Hamas problem, but a “Palestinian” one.
That their entire “nation” is a human weapon, cocked and aimed at Israel.
That they exist for only one purpose, which is our destruction. And that this is the core and essence of what passes for a national identity for them.
That we can never have peace with them. And that the only sane solution is to send them away, so that they can't harm us any more.
It’s been frustrating as hell seeing right-thinking people, who understand that atrocities are bad and that Israel is good, continuing to insist that if we just do this or that or the other thing, we can have peace with them. Such as:
Denazification. Which won’t work, because Nazism wasn’t at the core of German national consciousness. It was forced on most of them, and was something that could be fixed.
Deradicalization. Which won’t work, because the “Palestinians” who want to destroy Israel are not radicals. They are regular, rank and file members of their people. Like the thousands who participated in the October 7 mini-Holocaust, and the ones who have held our people as slaves in Gaza.
Military occupation. Which won’t work because it will result in a constant flow of dead soldiers, and will be a constant drain on our resources — to no end. And the same hysteria that led to the withdrawal from Gaza and the ethnic cleansing of 9,000 innocent Jewish men, women, and children, will return with a vengeance.
Autonomy. Don’t make me laugh. They had that chance in Gaza and we’ve all seen the outcome. If there’s a single good thing to come out of the crime of 2005, it’s that we’ve seen in full color what happens when we allow “Palestinians” to rule themselves on our border.
None of these are options. The only option left (other than actual genocide, which is out of the question; it’s just not something Israel can or will ever do) is expulsion.
I hope that some of you reading this are starting to come around. This is not an “Arabs are gross, kick them out” thing. Arabs are no more gross than Jews. They have good and bad people, and so do we. But “Palestinians” are something else. They were created for this purpose. Between the Arab League, and the UNRWA created by the Arab League to incubate the cancer of Palestinianism, they really never had a chance.
On one level, I do sympathize with them. But ultimately, regardless of how people are abused in their upbringing, regardless of how evil their parents and teachers were, every human needs to choose between right and wrong. And they, as a society, will always choose the wrong. So they have to go.
Expulsion and annexation, period. No more half measures. The world is going to piss and moan no matter what we do. It’s like a battered wife trying desperately to please her abusive husband. Nothing is going to work, but she thinks that maybe, just maybe, if she’s really, really good, he’ll give her a smile. That’s Israel and the abusive world we live in. I’m not suggesting a Burning Bed solution; just refusing to bow and scrape any more.
Lebanon
If I hear one more person talk about missiles being launched at us by “Hezbollah”, I think I’ll scream. The enemy in Gaza is not Hamas, and the enemy in Lebanon is not Hezbollah. They are a major party in the Lebanese parliament. They are a fundamental part of the Lebanese government, and Lebanon is conducting a war against us.
I want to be clear about the fact that Israel is not blameless. Both on the Gazan Front and the Lebanese Front, we have chosen the route of havlaga. Restraint. We simply sit by and allow them to fire weapons of death at us. We treat them like toddlers having a tantrum, and rather than spank them, we ignore them as long as we can.
And yes, in terms of maturity, the toddler comparison is an apt one. But they are not our children, and we are not their parents. We are a sovereign state, and they are a nation making war on us. The correct thing to do is to slap them silly at even the slightest physical attack. If they throw so much as a rock at us with hostile intent, the area from which the rock was thrown should cease to exist.
Most people are unaware that the entire north of Israel has been evacuated, and that tens of thousands of Israelis have been rendered homeless. Living in hotel rooms until the day that they can return home. A day that our government and our army doesn’t seem to be feeling any urgency to bring about.
This is Lebanon. The river passing from just north of Tyre on the Mediterranean and flowing to the east is called the Litani. It almost meets up with the northern tip of the Golan Heights. The entire area south of the Litani needs to be annexed, and every single inhabitant of that area who isn’t willing to swear allegience to Israel needs to be pushed north of the Litani.
The Lebanese who fled South Lebanon when Ehud Barach so disastrously pulled us out should be allowed to return to their homes there, and massive Israeli settlement needs to take place in the area.
The Litani runs roughly 29 kilometers (18 miles) north of Israel’s current northern border. The first kilometer of those 29, from the Mediterranean to Metulla, should be designated as a military base.
The river running east from just above Sidon on the Mediterranean Sea is called the Awali River. The entire area between the Litani and the Awali needs to be designated as a zero tolerance demilitarized zone. Zero tolerance means that any weaponry entering the area needs to be destroyed the moment we find out about it. Zero tolerance means that any tunneling we see going on in the DMZ needs be pounded into oblivion immediately. No more of this smug and tolerant attitude that resulted in utter surprise on October 7. Immediate and short term repercussions, and no Israeli boots on the ground.
Any Lebanese who want to live in the DMZ are welcome to. They might even like the fact that we’re guaranteeing the peace and quiet of the region.
Judea/Samaria
Finally, the third front. The Arabs of Judea and Samaria and the non-citizen Arabs living in Jerusalem have worn out their welcome. Treating them as a generally peaceful population with some radicals makes no more sense there than it does in Gaza. Those who are willing to publicly swear loyalty to Israel can remain, on probation. Everyone else must be expelled.
One of the common things I hear when I talk about this is, “Expelled to where? Who wants them?” The vast majority of the people asking this are not being honest. They aren’t actually interested in an answer to the question. Rather, they think that stating the question is an answer in and of itself. That by asking it, they’ve checkmated us, since there can be no answer. But on that, they’re wrong.
First of all, when they see that we’ve annexed Gaza and expelled the “Palestinians” from there, they will understand that we mean business. I anticipate a rapid exodus of “West Bank and East Jerusalem Palestinians” following that. Into Jordan, or elsewhere, it doesn’t really matter. We can transfer them into the Lebanese DMZ as well, if we need to.
Bottom Line
The bottom line is that we need to start acting like adults. We need to take our security into our own hands and stop worrying that people are going to frown at us if we do what is necessary to protect ourselves and our freedom and our peace.
Previous to this, I’ve published a Three State Solution, giving the “Palestinians” a homeland in what was historically called “Palestine”. But that was before reading Einat Wilf’s The War of Return. I thought I had understood the magnitude of the problem we have with the “Palestinians”. I had not. It became clear after reading that book that no “Palestinians” were ever going to agree to a Palestinian State anywhere other than the entire area between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River.
I’ve also published a version of the Zehut Party plan for victory, which, while it does include annexing Judea/Samaria and the Gaza Strip, grants all of the Arabs there the option of choosing a generous emigration package or non-citizen residence. I no longer think that’s appropriate, particularly not for the Gaza Strip. That entire area needs to be emptied as a punitive measure, in order to reinforce the extent to which attacking us is a poor choice.
But all of those ideas were just ways of dragging my feet, as we’ve all been dragging our feet, rather than doing what needs to be done.
We have the ability to end this endless war. We simply need a leader who will carry it out.
