So anyway, a couple of weeks ago, I found out I was being terminated by the company I’ve worked at for the past 23 years. Coming up on 61 years old, that’s less than welcome news. I’m a programmer (C#, MS SQL, etc.), but the market is tough.
I’m job searching, but while that happens, I created an online store to sell print-on-demand t-shirt designs. The kind I’d like to see.
See… there are a lot of in-your-face t-shirt designs out there. “Forget the dog; beware the owner!” Or “I’m not arguing with you; I’m explaining why you’re wrong.” But Jews, for some reason, are averse to such things. Afraid that it’ll irk the gentiles. Afraid that it’ll irk the JINOs (Jews In Name Only).
I prefer things like, “Real Jews Support Israel”. Or “Palestine, the European colonial name for Judea, eternal home of the Jewish People.”
I set the site up on Etsy. But after two days (and two sales), they took it down and banned me permanently. Without telling me why. If you feel like writing to Etsy and asking them why they nuked StarwaysStudios (which was the lame name I gave it), let me know if they answer it. But I suspect we all know the reason why.
So as a programmer, I found a work-around. I installed the store on my own website, registered a domain name (https://zionswag.com) and hit the gas.
Here are some of the designs I have up there:
They aren’t limited to t-shirts. I’ve put some of the designs on mugs, some on cards, some on mousepads and deskpads, and some on wall art. I’m planning on adding stickers. Everything is made in the US of A (the shirts are made in Florida).
If there’s something you’re looking for and don’t see, like an existing product in a different color, or a slogan that you’ve wanted on a shirt but no one has made, let me know about it, and if I can, I’ll do it.
Wish me luck on the job search and on the store.
