Those thinking with their hearts , ie. the liberal Jews of America, are among Israel’s greatest foes. Voting against their own interests is something I’ll never understand.
I don’t listen to him anymore. He loves the shouting and the quote-unquote “discussions “ that make us all wiser. He’s found his niche in “debates” for lots and lots of viewers. No. Finished.
I love your essays, Lisa, and I agree with you 100% about Piers. He's not unlike a lot of our so called journalists in the US Legacy Media. Although, he will pretend to be understanding about Israel's situation, while our shills demonize Israel every chance they get. I have always been perplexed and ask the question, "Why doesn't Israel ever learn?" A country and government who should know full well how the Arab mind works, and yet time and time again gives up land, abides by accords, gives them jobs, and on and on. What does Israel get, more terror, the worst on October 7th, but the other incidents of explosions were not to be dismissed either. As you said quite correctly, Israel used its feelings (heart) and not its brain. I remember reading after October 7th about the peace activist couple in the kibbutz who were one of the first to be slaughtered, people who befriended the terrorists and gave them jobs. The part of this story I found even more astounding was that those who survived in their community said they will carry on their work for peace. What will it take to get these people out of their reverie? If the slaughter of 1200 Israelis was not enough, there doesn't seem to be any hope for them. Thank you again, if Israel is to survive, it cannot go on thinking that these Arabs will respond to kindness. It won't work, never has worked, and never will work.
Piers Morgan is typical of the loathsome antisemitic British elites. Israel is the source of electricity to Gaza because Gaza's terrorist rulers were busy spending money moronic western governments gave them, to build tunnels, acquire rockets and other weaponry to massacre Jews instead of providing basic necessities to their own population. Yet as always, it's the Jews who are to blame. That putz Piers Morgan thinks Israel is actually obligated to provide Gazans with basic needs even as they wage war against Israel. An obligation ONLY expected of Israel toward its enemies. You are quite right that Israel has soft-headed leaders for providing Gaza with electricity and humanitarian aid. This has prolonged the war. There should have been a total siege of Gaza from the beginning. The war would have ended quickly with an Israeli victory. No matter how accommodating Israel is and how much they go out of their way protecting the enemy population at risk of their own soldiers in the process, they still get condemned. So why do they continue to appease the world?
Lisa, Those leftists who alas remain leftists even after the horror, still, remain our brothers and sisters. They have suffered greatly. Leave them out of these discussions for now. Please. As for our pitiful failed leadership (all of them, right and left), I'm with you. The sooner we can convince them to exit the stage the better.
No. To "leave them out of these discussions" is to label what they did a "mistake"... an "error", and to *infantalize* them... none of which is true; they chose to *not* "believe their lyin' eyes" and to willfully engage in "wishful thinking"; but please... do *not* blame "our pitiful failed leadership" for the years-long choices of our Israeli leftists, in general, and those of the Gaza-envelope kibbutzim, in particular -- they were (as a friend of mine often says) "useful zhidiots" -- THEY have cost us the lives of some 900 Israeli soldiers, and several thousand more, wounded and disabled. Do *not* excuse them; deport them, all of them -- together with the "Palestinians" -- to "somewhere, over the rainbow"... and may G-d bless them, and keep them far away from the rest of us.
